I just love this jalapeno pickle. Ingredients are Jalapenos, vinegar, a bit of sugar, onion & spices. These would be perfect for so many things. sandwiches, on field peas or various shelled beans or your hamburger or as an accompaniment to your vegetarian sandwich. Delightful on cream cheese. These are not very hot, not as much as regular jalapenos because of brining liquid. Mixed colors of red and green and yellow are lovely.

A crunchy cinnamon-flavored pickle (similar to spiced apple rings) that is great by itself or as a garnish any time of the year. (And they're a great alternative for those who don't like cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving and Christmas.) Pearly Jackson was the pastry cook at Hotel Seville in Harrison in the early fifties. She gave my great-grandmother her recipe; we still have Pearly's handwritten copy. It's a tedious process but the result is one of my favorite things! (And they make great Christmas presents!) (Ingredients: Cucumbers, sugar, vinegar, water, Red Hots candy, red food coloring, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Pickling lime and alum used as firming agents. Red Hots contain Red Dye No. 40.)
