I am a small-scale specialty farmer. I have blackberry canes and an interesting variety of flower and vegetable plants each year.
I make and sell low-sudsing laundry detergents that are ideal for use in high efficiency (HE) washing machines. I love trying out new scents, so you are likely to see some interesting choices available. :) SAVE MONEY and BE CLEAN! I typically re-use clean gallon containers collected from my friends and co-workers. This is significant because China is no longer recycling plastic from the U.S., and I refuse to buy NEW plastic containers for my detergent.
I also make bar soaps from scratch using the cold process method with food-grade lye. I use plant oils (usually virgin olive oil and coconut oil) with locally-harvested beeswax, and I scent the soap using essential oils or food-grade extracts. If I use an artificially made fragrance (because sometimes you have to!) I will label it with the word “fragrance.” That does not mean it is harmful in any way – it just means it was not extracted straight from a plant. I let my soap cure for six weeks so it will last as long as possible.
I bake cookies and breads from time to time.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. I am also the RCM Board President, so I am never too far away!
