We love making this classic granola that can be used to top just about anything, poured as a bowl of cereal, or shoveled into your mouth because it is just that yummy. Made fresh for each order, it's my all-time favorite granola with pure maple syrup and pecans. It has hemp hearts for extra protein and omegas, as well as grapeseed oil to add a little vitamin E. I use gluten-free ingredients for the granola, but foods with gluten are prepared in my kitchen, so cross-contamination is possible.

Lenten Rose - Botanical name: Helleborus 'Brandywine' One thing I want to point out is that these plants have different colored flowers - not on the same plant but I don't know the color that a plant is going to have - So you take your chances on color. If you have not grown a Lenten rose before, they are a shade plant. They are evergreen and flower usually in late December or in January. They are fairly tough plants, surviving the dry weather we have been having. I've watered the ones I have planted in the ground once & they look good.

I just love this jalapeno pickle. Ingredients are Jalapenos, vinegar, sugar, onion & spices. These would be perfect for so many things. sandwiches, on field peas or various shelled beans or your hamburger or as an accompaniment to your vegetarian sandwich. Delightful on cream cheese. These are not very hot, in fact I can eat them straight out of the jar. (and I'm not a chili head)

We can't say this jelly will make you beautiful but it certainly is interesting! The bright fuschia colored berries of the native American Beautyberry shrub (a member of the verbena family) make a lovely rose-colored jelly with a flavor that seems to vary with individual palates, having been described as akin to a mild elderberry flavor, reminiscent of rose petals, grape or even wild blackberry. It has no known medicinal qualities but American Indians did make a tea from the berries that was used to treat illnesses. Tell us what you think of it!
