Justin’s Produce still has watermelons available; get them while they last! Try some duck eggs from Lost Eden or get into a fall mood with some pumpkin butter from Wild Hare! Don’t skip the dairy category; treat yourself to some homemade ice cream or savor some fresh cheese from Meadowlark! RCM has 5 different flavors of BBQ sauce listed… what a creative flavor palate for some delicious cuts of meat! Enjoy some tasty fajita beef from C3 Beef or R&D paired with some of the lovely fresh peppers our vegetable growers are offering this week! We still have summer squash and tomatoes available as well as fresh okra from Hoof Hollow! Bluff Top has pork roast that would be delicious cooked in your slow cooker, C3 Beef has top sirloin steak available and R&D has skirt steak to make tender and tasty philly cheesesteak sandwiches! Try one of Porch Swing Farms gourmet sausage flavors or get some ground pork for your favorite recipes! Don’t forget about B&B Legacy’s dried soybeans; the black soybeans make a great substitute for black beans in your recipes or you can check out the recipes on their website! Make sure you don’t miss the several new additions in the baked goods category! Weatherford is offering soft bread twists in two flavors and a lovely lemon-ricotta cake, Lucky Star has created a Chili skillet brownie with a great flavor profile and Michael’s Garden is offering Apple Butter Babka rolls as a special flavor for fall. Hoof Hollow Hobbies has added some really pretty new greeting cards this week, so don’t forget to check them out! Shopping at RCM this week definitely makes me hungry for some of these amazing foods and dream of the fantastic dishes I could create! There are all kinds of fresh peppers this week; maybe some fajita meat from R&D or Kabob cubes from C3 Beef would go great with those colorful peppers! You could throw in some fresh squash, too, or fry up some okra to go with your meals! Don’t miss the fruit category this week… Justin’s Produce has a super selection of watermelons from Cave City red to yellow, seedless red, and orange crush from Dumas! Get your favorite one to enjoy while they are in season! Welcome back to Meadowlark; we are excited to see their Mediterranean herb cheese, fresh ricotta and three flavors of their homemade ice cream for you to choose from! There are lots of fresh herbs to enhance your meat and vegatable choices! I bet some fresh basil leaves from Hoof Hollow Hobbies or Bluff Top would be amazing with Meadowlark’s fresh cheeses or possibly a great addition to a simple and fresh pasta dish with some of Wild Hare’s homemade pasta! The Fortunate Mushroom has oyster mushrooms and Lion’s Mane available this week; there are so many delicious things you could make with them! There are tons of homemade cookie choices to help fill lunchboxes with unique treats! Weatherford Family Farm has some great cookies like butter pecan or M&M and this week you can try her new garlic parmesan and jalapeno cheddar bread twists! It’s another fantastic week at RCM! Remember to shop Ralston Family Farms’ rice products! This is the only week of the month that they are available at this market! Check out Hoof Hollow Hobbies homemade caramels in the candy category; if you got a sample of them last Tuesday, then you know they are delicious! Did you see the picture of the lions mane mushroom steak one of our customers made? If it made your mouth water, make sure you order some fresh lions mane mushrooms from The Fortunate Mushroom this week! Connor’s Garden has produced some interesting gourds if you are feeling crafty or would like to get an early start on your fall decorations! Guess what? Laundry detergent is back in stock! What is your favorite scent? I think Evergreen Forest or Coco Mademoiselle sound great! Some Farmstand Cornbread from Lucky Star pairs great with seasonal vegetables like tomatoes, peppers and squash!
