Whether you are feeding your family, finding a special gift or indulging yourself, RCM has some amazing choices! How about a ham and sweet potato dinner with some sliced ham from Porch Swing Farms and some sweet potatoes from Justin’s Produce? Maybe some minute steaks from C3 Beef or pork cutlets from Bluff Top would make a fast meal for your family. R&D has a lovely brisket if you are in the mood to slow cook or use a smoker! Justin also has sweet bell peppers and spaghetti squash available as well as our other vendors’ diverse selection of peppers like Mary-Ann King’s shishito peppers or Galla Creek’s cayenne. Check out the pothos from The Thomas Family, the pitcher plant from Backwoods plants or the lemon grass from Mary-Ann King if you are looking for something interesting to add to your garden! Sweeten things up with some Rural Route honey, freeze dried candy from Crystals Creations or some butter pecan chocolate chip cookies from Weatherford. Breakfast with bagels from Maple Brook or granola from McAnulty Mercantile and snack on 3 flavors of beef sticks from Lanty Cattle Company or some banana walnut bread from Lucky Star! Did you see the harvest moon this week? RCM vendors are busy making and harvesting some tasty foods and great deals! Look for Drewry Farms fresh apples on the extras table this week! They are very busy trying to get all their amazing crops picked and ready for customers but they are going to bring us a few apples to enjoy! Check out Hoof Hollow Hobbies loofah in the Bath and Beauty category; he has done all the hard work of cleaning it from a gourd to a usable natural scrubber! Help us welcome new vendor Crystal Creations! They will be offering freeze dried products and their first listings can be found in the candy category! There is a great variety of fresh peppers available this week and Hoof Hollow Hobbies has fresh turnip greens and kale. Check out Justin’s green tomatoes or Mary-Ann King’s pattypan squash! Justin has sweet potatoes, acorn, spaghetti and butternut squash newly listed! Watch the baked goods category as our bakers get in the mood for fall, too! Shop for pumpkin bread and tons of other amazing flavors! Keep your freezer stocked and ready to cook your favorite meals with Bluff Top pork chops, Porch Swing Farms sliced ham and gourmet sausage or R&D roasts and C3 Beef variety packs! It’s a lovely time of year in Arkansas! The heat of summer is passing as the cool breath of fall starts to tease us with cool evenings! In a way, it’s the best of both worlds! It’s warm enough to enjoy outdoor activities like cookouts, camping and picnics while cool enough to inspire cozy meals, campfires, and the bounty of harvest time! Shop for premium cuts of meat for delicious cookouts, stock your freezer for the next few months or just get ready for soup and stew weather! Look for Drewry apples on the extras table this week and hold on to the taste of summer with a sweet watermelon from Justin’s Produce! The peppers are loving this weather and our vendors have both sweet and spicy varieties. Fall is in the air this weekend and we are ready! The change of seasons brings new and favorite flavors to the market with different crops and foods inspired by the time of year. Watch for our vendors to post amazing fall foods and products over the coming weeks! There are some amazing cuts of beef and pork that would be great in the slow cooker as well as a variety of sausage for some hearty breakfasts or warm dinners! Hoof Hollow Hobbies’ caramels are a tasty treat and Weatherford’s Brown Sugar Pumpkin loaf is a great way to get in a fall mood! Don’t overlook the processed foods category to find a selection of yummy BBQ sauces and pickled foods that go great with all kinds of dishes! Mary-Ann King has some fresh eggplant this week, as well as some lovely peppers plus live lemongrass plants! Justin still has tomatoes, squash, cucumbers and a couple more watermelons! It’s hard to say goodbye to summer and its bounty…. But, RCM is starting to gear up for fall and it’s looking tasty! Thankfully, we still get to enjoy those warm weather crops for a while, as well! Keep an eye on the market as our vendors add fall inspired foods and seasonal crops! Hoof Hollow already has turnip greens available! Weatherford Family Farm is already listing some new goodies, check out her bread twists and new flavors! Pork cutlets from Bluff Top make a delicious and easy dinner or shop for a pork roast to feed a crowd! Have you tried the spicy Italian sausage from Porch Swing Farms? I bet it would make some delicious meatballs or pair it with some fresh ricotta from Meadowlark for a gourmet lasagne! Remember that Ralston rice is available this week; enjoy their amazing products that are grown right here in the river valley! Check out Maple Brook’s bread sampler to try her variety of sourdough flavors in smaller loaf sizes!
