Hopefully you are getting your holiday list checked off! RCM would like to remind everyone that this week’s market is the last one before the Christmas holiday! We will be closed Christmas week but will re-open as usual on December 27th for market pick-up on December 31st. RCM would also like to end our year by helping give back to our wonderful community and support a fellow organization by hosting a food drive during order pick-up at this week’s market. Join us in supporting River Valley Food 4 Kids by donating non-perishable food items to provide meals for children facing food insecurity! Drop off your donations at the Depot when you pick up your RCM order this week! Thank you all for shopping local and for helping us provide access to healthy foods for the people in our community!

Plan delicious meals for the week with local ingredients, let our vendors make you something delicious for holiday parties or gatherings and get to work on your Christmas list! Snack on some Porch Swing Pecans, Isn’t She Sweet peanut brittle or Maple Brook fudge while you put up holiday decorations. This is also the week that Ralston rice is available this month! Thank you to all the vendors who participated in last week’s Holiday Open House and to all the wonderful customers (old and new!) who came to shop and meet the people behind their products! We hope you got some holiday inspiration or got to sample something new that you enjoyed! If you met the folks from Wood Bee, LLC (Abide Honey) last Tuesday then make sure you check out their listings in the honey category! We are happy to welcome them to our amazing group of vendors! Keep an eye out this time of year for holiday listings and special products… like handmade greeting cards from Hoof Hollow Hobbies or delicious candies from Sweetbirds, Isn’t She Sweet and more! If you are having a holiday party, the baked goods category has you covered whether you need cookies, pies, cakes, sweet or savory breads or even dinner rolls! RCM is kicking off the season with our 3rd annual Holiday Market this week during order pickup! Order great local groceries before 10 PM tonight and come shop with our amazing vendors when you pick up your order! Check out Dubai chocolate bars from Sweetbirds Candy Kitchen, freeze-dried snacks and candies from Crystal Creations, candles and fromage blanc dip from Meadowlark and “Pigga Masala” curry sausage from Porch Swing farms. Add some flavor to your meals with Anaheim peppers from Bluebird Hill or dried sage and herb salts from our new vendor Arcadia Farmstead! If you have been missing fresh bagels, you are in luck this week! Welcome back Maple Brook Bakery! If you are looking for a healthier choice after an indulgent holiday, try homemade granola from Granola With Love or some protein-packed soybeans from B&B Legacy. Weatherford Family Farm has added homemade cinnamon rolls to her baked goods lineup this week if you are feeling like a sweet treat! Come to the Central Presbyterian Church this week from 4-7 PM to pick up your online orders and to visit with our wonderful vendors and shop their holiday goods! RCM vendors have a cornucopia full of homemade treats to delight your guests and time-saving breads and desserts to give you a break! Instead of turkey, a brisket from R&D will feed a crowd. If your gathering is smaller, maybe some fillet steaks from Bluff Top would be a delicious choice! C3 Beef has lots of roasts as well as family packs if roast beef sounds good for a holiday meal. Ground pork from Porch Swing Farms is a great addition to lots of recipes or try their sausage in your sausage ball recipe! Weatherford can make your meal preparations much easier with some of their ready-made rolls or breads, plus her lemon ricotta cake is a delicious dessert, and she is offering pumpkin and pecan pies! Mary-Ann King will bake you some delicious old-fashioned cornbread to use in your dressing or enjoy as is and Justin’s produce has plenty of sweet potatoes, pie pumpkins and winter squash to fill your table.
