The market closes at 10 PM, but there are still tons of unique products and delicious local foods available to purchase! We have been working hard to meet the current demand for eggs, and there are still plenty of chicken and duck eggs for you! Be sure to keep your freezer stocked with your favorite cuts of beef! We have them all, from a variety of ground meat to premium cuts like New York Strip from Bluff Top and Sirloin tips from R&D! Whether you need buns, rolls and sandwich bread or delicious cakes, pies, cookies and many other decadent treats, the baked goods category is overflowing with tasty choices! McAnulty Mercantile has room spray to keep your home fresh, and I spotted some new candle and wax melt scents from Drewry that sounded great this week! Make sure to get your fill of pumpkins, winter squash and apples before they are gone! Red River Fiber Arts is providing several useful locally made items; be sure to check out their soap savers and newly listed makeup removers! We have a great variety of soaps available from The Purple Gypsy and Sweet Mountain Home! Don’t forget some fresh cheese from Meadowlark to accompany your meals or take a look at their handmade pens; they make a great gift for a special person! The daffodils are blooming so we know spring is near! Enjoy their beautiful blooms before they are gone for another year! Let our local growers, makers and friends provide your family with the best products our community has to offer!

Spring is definitely getting nearer…. Daffodils have exploded this week and shrubs are beginning to bloom… The growers and makers at RCM have been busy bees, too! It looks like Drewry Farm and Orchards has lots of things started in their greenhouse! They even have some early tomato plants for sale! Look for new candle scents from Drewry and Meadowlark, too! Welcome our newest maker, Red River Fiber Arts who will be offering hand crocheted items; check out the nifty soap saver in the Farm Crafts category! As usual, we have a great selection of local beef and we will still have chicken available from Christal Fields. However, they are changing their farm schedule and will now be selling chicken only on the second Tuesday of each month. Make sure to watch the market for spring vegetables as they become available and, in the meantime, shop microgreens to get your fresh vegetable fix!

Pleasant View is back on the market this week after a break, maybe some homemade bread or cinnamon rolls would hit the spot! Our meat selection is pretty great this week with beef from Hoien, Bluff top and R&D as well as chicken from our new grower Christal Fields! The weather this week has definitely been lousy! We would like to thank all of our vendors and customers for their patience and persistence in helping last week’s market happen (even if it’s a couple of days later…)! Everyone at RCM really appreciates your commitment to providing for and supporting local food markets! We love helping these amazing local products be available! The weather looks more promising for the upcoming week, so there should be no worries about picking up next Tuesday!
How do you get the freshness of summer fruits in the middle of winter? With delicious jams and jellies! There are over 50 tasty choices available and they all go great with fresh breads from our bakers! RCM is here to help you get your groceries fresh from the farmers! Healthy choices, tasty treats, delicious meats, excellent eggs, fantastic fruits, unique gifts and more are available every week! This week Meadowlark Valley has 3 mouthwatering flavors of aged cheddar and smoked honey gouda ready for you! Chicken eggs are still available from Sonshine Meadows and there are plenty of Duck eggs from JPB Feathery Friends and BS Farms. Don’t forget your “apple a day” from Drewry Farms and Orchard, but make sure you check out their sale on assorted squash boxes and pie pumpkins too, it’s a delicious deal! If the spring cleaning bug bites you stock up on laundry detergent from Irish Elk Farms or try Clean Room Spray (under home and garden supplies) from another new vendor at RCM, McAnulty Mercantile. We welcome them to our market and look forward to seeing their great products!
