Are you ready for the eclipse? Stock up on RCM goodies this week since we will be closed next Tuesday because of the eclipse! If you’re having company, you can surprise them with amazing local foods! Serve a fantastic breakfast with Retro Roasts coffee, Maple Brook bagels, Isn’t She Sweet muffins, granola from Granola With Love or McAnulty Mercantile, Victoria’s Little Bread House’s chocolate sweet rolls or choose from R&D’s beef sausage, Porch Swing Farms’ mild breakfast or spicy Italian sausage or Michael’s Garden’s sage breakfast sausage. Our vendors have a great selection of tasty fresh eggs; they are great for any meal and full of nutrition! Making sandwiches for lunch? There are so many different kinds of homemade bread that you are sure to find one you love! Enjoy some of Cecelia and Otis’s crusty sourdough or maybe Victoria’s sourdough honey oat wheat or white sandwich bread complements your recipes! Have you tried PB&J with Kourtney’s possum grape jelly? Porch Swing Farms has sliced ham for convenient sandwich making and we hope to have a few microgreens from Le Jardin bien-aimee on the extras table this week! Feeding a crowd for dinner? How about roast beef from R&D or a pork roast from Bluff Top? Drumsticks from Dunrovin or one of their whole chickens will make a great springtime supper that’s sure to please! Dried or fresh mushrooms or the selection of rice from Ralston can make some inspired side dishes! Make sure you stock up on rice this week… Rice will only be available for the first market of each month! Some of Le Jardin bien-aimee’s lemon thyme would pair well with Dunrovin’s chicken or get some fresh parsley from Pine Ridge gardens. Meadowlark’s cheddar garlic biscuits can add some savory to your supper and Maple Brook’s pretzels and pretzel bites are great for snacks! Sorrentino Family farmstead has some delicious-looking healthy dried snacks and we are excited to welcome them for a pop-up at the market this Tuesday! When you come to shop the extras or pick up your order make sure you meet them, check our their products and sample a few! Don’t forget desserts! Let us make your life easy with our huge selection of sweet baked treats and candy so you can spend time with family and friends enjoying the eclipse and not baking in the kitchen!
