There’s never been a better time to support your local farms and farmers. Please read the following statement from our Board of Directors.

Dear RCM community,

Please be aware that we are actively following the rapidly changing environment surrounding the COVID-19 spread in Arkansas. Our main concern is for the safety of our farmers, producers, and customers.

We are working closely with the Russellville Depot to ensure that restrooms and handwashing sinks are available for use by our farmers and producers as they bring food for drop off on Tuesdays, as well as making them available to our customers as you pick your fresh, local foods each week. We want to thank the Russellville Depot for working with us to ensure your safety and keep local food flowing throughout the community.

At this time, we do not anticipate suspending operations of the Russellville Community Market. However, as we keep track of the daily updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Arkansas Department of Health, and the Governor, please be aware that our operations could be impacted in the future.

As always, we would encourage you to continue supporting your local food system, but to help ensure the health and safety of our community, we would recommend some daily preventive actions:
• Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.

Stay safe and healthy,
Your RCM Board of Directors
