It is a curious mixture of the oldest and the newest. The Bahrain sourdough is from the oldest of the old. It rises well and is considered the most sour type of sourdough breads. It has a beautiful texture, nice crust and is excellent for sandwiches, dipping and anything else you can think of!! Please add in the comments if you want a French loaf (free form), or a boule. A very soft, finely textured, barely sweet yeast milk bread filled with buttery diced apples, cinnamon, golden raisins and pecans and drizzled with homemade caramel sauce, this pull-apart loaf is a smorgasboard of flavors and textures. It's great instead of a cinnamon roll for breakfast, as an afternoon or after-school snack or an alternative to apple pie for dessert. Baked in a 7" x 4" loaf pan, the bread has been scored to pull apart in neat, spiral slices. Enjoy!
