Market Opening Bell

Hey all! Welcome to another RCM market week.

We at RCM hope your Spring Breaks were great! We’re hoping to hear some good vacation stories when we see you next!

On this week’s market, we would like to introduce Viney Creek Farm from Dover. They have added eggs this week on the market. To learn a bit more about this new farmer, please click on the “Our Growers” tab!

As a reminder, RCM pick-up will be in the small conference room where we were last week! We will remind you again before the pick-up day on Thursday.

Thanks for your continued support of RCM, and we’re proud to announce that we’ve added new customers every week to our market for about 2 months straight! That’s awesome! A big thanks to those of you who have spoken highly of us and recommended us to friends and family. We definitely appreciate it!

Important Information for Market Pick-up

Hello all!

Just a quick announcement about the market pickup this week. Due to scheduling conflicts, RCM’s market pickup will be in the smaller conference room to the right of Shoemaker Hall (the normal pickup place). We will try to have someone directing traffic to the conference room, and I’ll also put up an RCM sign in front of the correct door. This will be in effect for this week (3/21) AND next week (3/28). By the way, just for the sake of clearing up any confusion. The conference room is still at All Saints. Same location, just different room!

We thank you for helping us with this little change, and after the aforementioned weeks, the market will return to its normal pickup location in Shoemaker Hall.

Thank you all very much for your time and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday in the All Saints conference room.

The Market is Open!

Hey everyone!

We certainly hope you were able to enjoy the absolutely beautiful weather on Friday and Saturday! Unfortunately, Sunday isn’t treating us quite as nicely, but that’s how it goes! I know I was definitely out grilling and working in the garden yesterday! How about you?

On the market this week are plenty of greens, everything from arugula and collard to kale and spinach. Be sure to get your hands on these ASAP!

Also, I know I’m gearing up for grilling season, and RCM has no shortage of meat! Every cut you could think of, and all kinds of ground meats like beef, buffalo, and elk! I think those bratwursts would look amazing on top of your grill! :)

Bluff Top is back this week after being off last week. Be sure to welcome her back with orders!

Also, a quick survey question: Would you be interested in being able to use a credit/debit card to pay for your order, even if it meant a small processing fee?
We want YOUR feedback on this possible addition to RCM, and whether you think it is a good idea or not. If you have an opinion or want to let us know what you think, please respond to this email, or drop us a line at our Facebook page (link below). Thanks everyone!

The Market is Open!

Hey everyone! It’s Sunday at noon again, which can only mean one thing: The market is open!

We hope you enjoyed meeting and seeing Debbie Taylor of Bluff Top last week as our RCM Featured Farmer!

This past Friday, March 7th, was our 2nd ever Farm to Table meal at Arkansas Tech. With cooperation from the hospitality department and the great farmers from around Arkansas, including several from our own market, the chef was able to use local ingredients to create one of the best meals I’ve eaten in quite some time! We hope you were able to make it to the meal, and if not, we hope you can next time around.

Last market day, some of you may have also had to chance to meet one of our newest farmers, Gerry Hemmer. Known as Auntie Gee’s on the market, Gerry showcased some of her homemade soaps and even brought some eggs to sell. Hopefully you were able to talk with her and meet another one of our great RCM farmers.

New on the market this week: Ratchford added their well-known Elk snack sticks, similar to the buffalo stick already on the market, but with elk! :) Ratchford has also added a beef breakfast sausage, which looks fantastic! Also, tropical coconut and cocoa butter soaps have been added! Be sure to check these items out!

The Market is Open!

Good morning all.

It’s time for another market week!

We’ve added another new grower, Auntie Gee’s, who has some specialty soaps on the market, and with names like Avocado Cocoa Butter and Coconut Blue Swirl, you’ll definitely want to check them out!

This month’s Featured Farmer is Debbie Taylor of Bluff Top. For those of you unfamiliar with the “featured farmer,” RCM gives the opportunity to all of our farmers to be the month’s featured farmer, where they can come to the market day on Thursdays and get to meet and talk with their customers one on one. This is a great opportunity for you, the customer, to meet your farmers and see what kinds of things they do. It also helps to see the face behind a name! It’s a neat experience for all.

Also this week: RCM’s first 2013 board meeting. As always, these meetings are open to farmers and customers alike. Anyone who would like to attend is more than welcome. The meeting will take place at 6:30 on Thursday evening of this week, March 7th.

The weather is looking up this week! I’m excited to get back into the garden!

RCM Opening Bell

Hey everyone! Welcome to another RCM Market week.

We hope everyone was able to make it out to the Russellville Seed Swap yesterday! We had an awesome turnout, that I think exceeded last year’s attendance. A big thank you to Dr. Brian Campbell from UCA for coming down. And a big thank you to everyone who came out to support the seed swap and the market!

This upcoming weekend is the Fayetteville Dig In Festival, which I talked about some in last week’s email. Be sure to check out the details at Dig In Festival.

New on the market this week: homemade dishwasher detergent and carpet deodorizer. A great addition to our homemade cleaning products!
