Hey everyone! It’s Sunday at noon again, which can only mean one thing: The market is open!
We hope you enjoyed meeting and seeing Debbie Taylor of Bluff Top last week as our RCM Featured Farmer!
This past Friday, March 7th, was our 2nd ever Farm to Table meal at Arkansas Tech. With cooperation from the hospitality department and the great farmers from around Arkansas, including several from our own market, the chef was able to use local ingredients to create one of the best meals I’ve eaten in quite some time! We hope you were able to make it to the meal, and if not, we hope you can next time around.
Last market day, some of you may have also had to chance to meet one of our newest farmers, Gerry Hemmer. Known as Auntie Gee’s on the market, Gerry showcased some of her homemade soaps and even brought some eggs to sell. Hopefully you were able to talk with her and meet another one of our great RCM farmers.
New on the market this week: Ratchford added their well-known Elk snack sticks, similar to the buffalo stick already on the market, but with elk! :) Ratchford has also added a beef breakfast sausage, which looks fantastic! Also, tropical coconut and cocoa butter soaps have been added! Be sure to check these items out!
