It is an exciting week at RCM! Order great groceries online and meet 18 of our amazing vendors on Tuesday when you pick up your order! Remember, we will be set up in the fellowship hall of the Central Presbyterian Church this week in order to have enough room for all the friendly faces behind your local products and foods! Where else can you shop this many local growers, bakers and makers at the same time? Come and meet the people behind your favorite items and shop for unique holiday gifts, sample products and have a fantastic time at our Merry Market! This is a great opportunity to find something special to serve at holiday gatherings, get great gifts for teachers, or shop for family and friends! Stuff your stockings with local goods! We hope to help people learn more about our market and see the wonderful things we have to offer!

Whew! Still full from Thanksgiving? That’s ok; RCM is ready to help you get going on those Christmas lists and make up for Thanksgiving with some healthy local foods! We want to remind everyone that during the December 5th market pickup we will be having our 2nd annual Holiday Market! We will be in the Central Presbyterian Church on the 5th and hope that you can all join the RCM staff and vendors to celebrate the season and shop local! Welcome to the newest RCM vendor, Wild Hare Nursery! We are excited to have them join us with their handmade pasta just in time for the Holiday Market! The last of the available Christal Fields chicken is listed online if you need to stock up or are feeling like some lighter meals this week! There are plenty of eggs available and B&B Legacy soybeans are also an excellent source of protein! Galangal plants from Pine Ridge Gardens can give you a supply of their fresh gingery flavor and The Fortunate Mushroom’s grow kits can help you establish your own fresh mushrooms! There are plenty of turnip greens from Hoof Hollow Hobbies and be sure to look at their lovely handmade greeting cards if you want to send a special greeting to friends or family! Enjoy breakfast sausage from Bluff Top, pork chops from Porch Swing Farms, and a great selection of ribeye steaks and other cuts from R&D and our other beef vendors! Isn’t She Sweet is back again this week; grab her cinnamon rolls or molasses cookies! There’s plenty of quality baked goods at RCM to satisfy every palate! Warm up with coffee from Retro Roasts and snack on peanuts from Lucky Star or candied pecans from Weisenfel’s Family Farm. Do you have pets who need their stockings filled? Get those Thanksgiving groceries at RCM! There’s cranberry chutney from Lucky Star and cranberry relish from McAnulty Mercantile in the condiments category and plenty of desserts and sweet treats in the baked goods! In addition to Cecelia’s amazing sourdough and Victoria’s beautiful sandwich bread, you can find sweet and savory goodies for every meal! Michael’s Garden’s Apple Butter pound cake will feed a big crowd, Lucky Star’s Farmstand Cornbread is a different take on a southern favorite and McAnulty Mercantile has whole pecan pies ready for you! The RCM family keeps growing! Last week we were excited to welcome Ralston Family Farms and their awesome rice products and this week we are thrilled to welcome The Fortunate Mushroom and their addition of locally grown fresh mushrooms to our market! The list of great groceries and homemade products just keeps growing! Cecelia and Otis and Victoria’s Little Bread House have both added new scone flavors this week and Cecilia is offering a Kalamata olive, roasted garlic and sundried tomato sourdough loaf. There is surely something delicious to please every palate in the baked goods category! Delicious Drewry apples are in season and their squash and pumpkins are decorative and versatile for many cozy fall meals. Stock up on Pawpaw’s Pecans for holiday baking, snack on Lucky Star’s roasted peanuts or savor Weisenfel’s candied pecans. Keep an eye on the vegetable category as more cool weather greens and vegetables are coming in season, as well as a few warm weather holdouts like Connor’s green tomatoes or Pleasant View’s jalapenos. Season your fresh products with herbs from Pine Ridge gardens or smoked salt and mixed seasonings from McAnulty Mercantile. RCM is packed with tasty deals this week!! We are very excited to have delicious Ralston Family Farms rice available for our customers! In addition to their amazing rice varieties, don’t forget to try their new rice grits! RCM is also glad to have Cecilia and Otis back with her lovely sourdough and new scones. Pleasant View has classic dinner rolls for your family meals and Victoria’s Little Bread House has a selection of great focaccia flavors, scones, cinnamon rolls and her amazing sandwich bread! Check out Kourtney’s Rice Krispy treats, Kaitlin’s filled cookies, or Connor’s Lemon loaf! Sweet or savory, our baked goods category is sure to have something that satisfies! Hoof Hollow Hobbies has plenty of fresh turnip greens, Connor has green tomatoes and eggplant and Pleasant View has Bok Choy. Pine Ridge Gardens has lovely herb plants found under live plants as well as fresh seasonings like curry sprigs, fresh bay leaves or turmeric in the fresh herbs and spices category. Porch Swing Farms has great spiral sliced hams ready for holiday dinners, Bluff Top has bone-in pork chops and R&D has roasts and jerky beef! If you need chicken, just ask an RCM helper!
